Announcement of External and Internal Change

The Deanship of Admission and Registration is announcing that the External Change Period and Internal Change Period for the first semester of the academic year 1436/1437 AH, are available and any students can apply for.

For external change period, the deanship will start receiving the applications on Monday 11/10/1436 AH and last to Wednesday 20/10/1436 AH 

For internal change period, the deanship will start receiving the applications on Sunday 1/11/1436 AH and last to Wednesday 4/11/1436 AH 

The Dean of Registration and Admission Deanship Dr. Sultan Al Farih has clarified that  the external change will be electronic and there is no need for bringing any document or paper to the deanship. For that, the student does not have to come to the deanship. On the other hand, the students who desire to apply for internal change should add an application through the website during the announced dates and follow it up electronically. 

The Dean also has explained changing from regularity to affiliation or vice versa and degree change (from diploma to BA or vice versa) are available only for female students. However, changing of specialization is available for both male and female. In the same regard, he added that any students who desire to apply can look at the change condition at the deanship' website through the following link Registration and Admission Deanship      

It is noteworthy that the approval on the applications will depend on the availability of each department

 

 

Announcement of change period (Internal-External) for the first semester of the academic year 1436/1437 AH

First: External Change (male/female students):

The Deanship of Admission and Registration is announcing the External Change Period for the first semester of the academic year 1436/1437 AH, which will start -God Willing- through KKU portal on Monday 11/10/1436 AH and lasts to Wednesday 20/10/1436 AH. Note that: the external change will be electronic and there is no need for bringing any document or paper to the deanship. For that, the student does not have to come to the deanship. The means of communication with the student is either the mobile phone or the Deanship website. 

Mechanism of External Change:

  • The student must apply the change request on the Deanship website (Academia) through the following link http://registration.kku.edu.sa/kku/init
  • Then, the student fill the data entry as required and described in the website.
  • The student must upload the required documents in (PDF) format and then save the request.
  • The student must follow-up the request electronically through the Deanship website in order to know if his\her request is approved or not.

The required Documents:

  • A certified change form from student's first Admission and Registration Deanship.
  • Academic record (original and certified copy).
  • A copy of the secondary school certificate.
  • A copy of the personal identity or family card for female students only.

General Conditions for External Change:

  1. The student must be Saudi or from Saudi Mother and registered in governmental Saudi University.
  2. The student must finish the preparation year (if there is) and choose a specialization.
  3. All the requests will be studied according to the capacity of the specialization or department. The differentiation between students is according to their GPA.
  4. The student must finish more than two semesters and less than four semesters.
  5. The total commitment to the time and the place of the change period in the University and follow-up the request. 
  6. The student must pass any test that the college or department require (if there is)  
  7. Total commitment to the minimum rate of external change which requires not less than the lowest rate for the Internal Change.
  8. The admission will depend on the availability of each department.
  9. The student who wishes to move to King Khalid University should  fulfill the minimum regulations in the schedule below:

Second: Internal Change (male/female students):

The Deanship of Admission and Registration is announcing the Internal Change Period for the first semester of the academic year 1436/1437 AH, which will take place - God Willing - through King Khalid University (KKU) portal on Sunday 01/11/1436 AH and lasts to Wednesday 04/11/1436 AH. 

Mechanism of Internal Change:

The student must request for the change by applying through Internal Request service on the Deanship Website during the period mentioned above. The student must follow -up the request through KKU portal.

The change includes the following:

- Changing the type of study, and it includes the following:

Changing from regular to affiliation or vice versa for theoretical specializations (female students). The female student has to request for the change by applying through e-portal. Note that the required GPA to change from affiliate to regular is 3 to 5, and the female student should finish more than two semesters.

Change of degree; and this includes the following:

  • Changing from diploma to BA or vice versa. Changing from diploma to BA requires that male students should finish four semesters and get 4 to 5 GPA in all theoretical specializations. 
  • On the other hand, changing from BA to diploma, the (male/ female) students has to request for the change by applying through e-portal without any conditions.

Change the specialization.

Changing of specialization from one BA to another BA specialization or from Diploma to other diploma specialization. All the applications will be treated according to the capacity of the college and students' GPA.  

General Conditions for Internal Change:

  • Changing is only once between colleges and twice between college's departments.
  • All the applications will be treated according to the capacity of the college and students' GPA.
  • The student must finish more than two semesters and less than four semesters.
  • The total adherence to the time and the place of the change system in the University and follow up the request.
  • The student must pass any test that the college or department requires (if there is).  
  • For internal change from scientific specializations to medical and health colleges, the percentage of admission - God willing - will be as follows:
    1. For the colleges of Medicine, surgery and dentistry, the admission to them will not exceed 10%.
    2. For the college of Pharmacy, the admission will exceed 15%.
    3. For the college of Applied medical sciences, the admission will be 20%.
    4. The admission will depend on the availability of each department.
