Celebration of concluding Student Activities.

The University concludes the student activities for the current academic year

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawoodd has, on Monday 11/7/1436 AH, sponsored the closing ceremony of student activities for the current academic year 1435/1436 AH, in addition to the Festival of Kingdom Spring, in university hall, at main campus, in Abha.

The Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Murai Al Habash, has explained at the occasion of the conclusion of the Student Activities that saw a year of achievements and fruitful work, which flowed into the student's advantage, by stating, " we celebrate today the conclusion of student activities which have contributed to building the student strong character, and to developing their leadership abilities. These activities have also contributed to the enrichment of the student cognitive aspects, and have trained them on the collective leadership, on consultation, on collective cooperation and on mutual understanding. Moreover, these various activities also have supported and improved students' personalities, including that of facing challenges and enduring responsibilities. After all, they enjoy the value (fruit) of their hard work (effort) and teamwork." In addition to that, he said, "The university is keen on discovering those talented in all fields, with the intention of and developing them through their participation in extracurricular activities and events. It is also encouraging the students to engage in voluntary works for its importance in the refinement of the student's personality." Dr. Al Habash further clarified that it was a good decision to conduct the Festival of Kingdom Spring to coincide with the conclusion of Student Activities Ceremony for many reasons. Among the reasons are to promote national values among students, to remember the exploits of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God have mercy on him. In addition to these, the decision aims at instilling pride in religious values, in loyalty, and in obedience to God,  and then to the King, and in the belonging to the homeland. It also emphasizes the importance of the concept of allegiance to the leadership under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him - and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud - may God protect him, and the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him.

On the accompanying events, Dr. Al Habash noted that there would be various heritage villages, especially for the Festival of Kingdom Spring, as well as exhibitions devoted to student clubs. He stated that the celebration would bring together an anasheed and theatrical show, as well as other miscellaneous programs. He pointed out further that In addition to all those events, there would be draws on a number of prizes.
