Postgraduate Studies in Saudi Universities Conference: Reality and Prospects for Development

Under the aegis of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa, King Khalid University will organize the Postgraduate Studies in Saudi Universities Conference: The Reality and the Prospects of Development next Wednesday at Abha Palace.

King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, stated: "The conference comes from the desire to explore the future of postgraduate studies in the Kingdom in light of changes created by the Kingdom's 2030 vision, which marks an important step in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

Rector Al-Solamy added that this conference is an opportunity to meet postgraduate program leadership figures throughout the Kingdom to discuss the views and experiences in the field, hoping that the outcomes and recommendations of the conference will enrich Saudi universities. He also thanked His Excellency the Minister of Education for his sponsorship and continuous support and announced the call for conference papers.

Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saad Al-Amri, explained that the Minister of Education's sponsorship comes within the Ministry's interest, indicating that the conference aims to encourage scientific research related to postgraduate education and to observe the reality of graduate programs in Saudi government and private universities as well as finding solutions to the problems faced in the field and opening the prospect for future collaborations and work among Saudi universities.

Vice Rector Al-Amri welcomed the postgraduate deans and leadership at Saudi universities in the thirteenth meeting, hoping that the meeting will achieve the goals and objectives that serve academic excellence in postgraduate studies in Saudi universities. In his segment, Dean of Graduate Studies at King Khalid University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Fayea, explained that the research and scientific papers to be presented at the conference are richly diverse and up to date with the latest global trends. He indicated that the meeting will include the participation of a number of experts and researchers from Saudi universities.
