University Holds the Annual Admissions Exhibition for Prospective Students

Under the patronage of His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, the Annual Admissions Exhibition for prospective students was held under the supervision of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration and participation from all colleges. The purpose of the event was to introduce secondary school students to registration procedures and university specializations. Dignified personalities attended the event including the Assistant Director-General of Education in the Aseer Region, Mr. Saad Al-Juni.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Rector inaugurated the exhibition and the new electronic services provided by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration. Al-Solamy explained that the University strives to ensure all information presented to prospective students is accurate and valuable helping them to make informed decisions. He emphasized the fundamental importance of working together with administrative employees and teachers of secondary education institutions in an effort to streamline a precise and efficient platform to convey vital information to prospective students.

The University Rector commented on the visual presentations required by each college. He related that admissions booths should provide prospective students with the necessary conditions and skills needed by each specialization in a practical, compelling, and simple way, whether through training or electronic solutions. In return, the admissions process would be streamlined because students would be presented with all of the procedural knowledge and information on the prospective specialization.

On the occasion, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni, explained that the Annual Admissions Exhibition stems from the vision of the University on its role in introducing secondary students to the procedures and conditions of admissions and registration in King Khalid University. He stressed the University's keenness to establish this exhibition for secondary students to let them know about the available specializations in the University and the requirements of each specialization. The event also aimed to allow students identify the future work fields for each specialty, with some essential alerts that will guide them in their university life and registration.

For his part, Assistant Director-General of Education in the Aseer region, Mr. Saad Al-Jouni, said that the active partnership between the Administration of Education in the Aseer region and the University was formed to explore opportunities and further deepen cooperation in the design and implementation of education, in order to prepare our children and significantly enhance their development in pursuit of academic excellence.

It is noteworthy that the Annual Admissions Exhibition aims to build bridges of communication with prospective students before joining the University. The specializations of colleges that qualify high school students to work after graduation were presented in a way that is commensurate with student preferences and desires, in addition to the ability to innovate and excel in them.
