Afaaq Newspaper Dedicates Numerous Pages to Introduce Students to the NEOM Project

The weekly newspaper of King Khalid University, Afaaq, discussed the exciting economic project of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, NEOM, through 15 pages in its 122nd edition that will be issued on the 9th of this month.

Afaaq discussed the project; its objectives, future, and the many initiatives that will be taken on the sidelines of the project. The article also showed how massive the project is in the respect that holds the future of the Kingdom and how our visionary leadership aims at achieving a qualitative economic leap.

His Excellency the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, expressed his appreciation for the historic project. He said that Saudi Arabia is witnessing a landmark leap since His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s announcement of the project, which will be a milestone in the history of the Kingdom and a positive transformation of its economy through this project and the brilliant plans that are related to Vision 2030. He praised the efforts of the Crown Prince and his initiatives in supporting the Kingdom and its development. Rector Al-Solamy praised the economic and investment awareness displayed by His Royal Highness. He further pointed out that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s speech at the moment of announcing the project proved that the Kingdom would guide a new civilized path that espouses moderate Islamic ethics.

Rector Al-Solamy added, "I am confident that we are coming to positive changes at all levels, and there will be no retreat- God willing. We all shoulder the conscious economic vision, and we are keen to live in peace, love, security, and stability."

For his part, the General Supervisor of the Afaaq Newspaper and the Media Center at the University, Professor Ali bin Shuwail Al-Qarni, confirmed that the NEOM is undoubtedly a decisive advantage for future generations. He pointed out that the announcement of the project was not typical, because of the strategic partnerships with Countries, people in business, and major companies in the world in an area shared by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.

Professor Shuwail asserted that in view of the importance of this project, Afaaq has been keen to specify a number of pages of the project and its pioneers, headed by the Crown Prince HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman, so that the students of the university can see the project through its imaginative lenses but realistic thinking and planning.

It is noteworthy that the weekly newspaper of King Khalid University, Afaaq, is one of the most popular university newspapers in the Kingdom with approximately 45,000 copies per week and is the first university newspaper published on the web and distributed both domestically and internationally.
