The university concludes its student activities

His Excellency, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), sponsored the closing ceremony of the student activities for this year. The ceremony was attended by a number of university agents, deans of colleges, supportive Deanships and a large number of students.

The university Rector confirmed that this day is the harvest day of student activities at the university this academic year. He said, "I am sure that there are many activities carried out by the faculties of the university within its corridors which have had the greatest impact on the educational process; all these efforts are appreciated as they are in the interest of our students."

Rector Al-Solamy stressed the importance of such activities, which help to refine students' different skills and contribute to the formation of their personality, in addition to their academic achievement through their colleges. The university Rector thanked the Deanship of Student Service and all those who participated in these activities including colleges, students, leaders of activities from the faculty members and students, wishing that there will be innovative fruitful ideas in the coming years.

For his part, Dean of the Deanship of Student Service, Dr. Mrei Al-Habash said that the Deanship has endeavored to achieve two important goals. The first is to absorb the largest segment of students through the diversity of activities to accommodate the interests and energies of different students, and to improve students' skills. And the other is to build student leaders and instill confidence in them, through training and empowerment.

The ceremony started with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a documentary film about the student activities submitted by the Deanship this year. After that, a number of students of the university presented a meaningful play and then an apprenticeship for students from the university and then an introductory film about the student clubs at the university faculties. The ceremony was concluded by the Rector's honoring to a number of participants in the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

It is noteworthy that the Sharia Club won the first place in the results of the evaluation of clubs, while the Faculty of Medicine came in second place, and in the third place came the College of Pharmacy. Regarding the results of the Central Clubs, the Joint Programs Club achieved the first place, while the Volunteer Club came in second place, and in the third place came the Integrity Club.
