A delegation of high school students visiting the University

A delegation of high school students consisting of 38 students and supervisors from the guidance and counseling department of Education Administration in Dhahran Al Janoub Governorate paid a visit yesterday to King Khalid University. The delegation initiated the visit with the academic complex in Mahalah, where they were received by the Dean of the Community College, Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Merra'e and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Dhahran Al Janoub, Dr. Misfer Ahmed Al Atef and the Dean of joint programs, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Mubasher, and the deputy dean of Arts and Sciences in Dhahran Al Janoub province, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Qahtani.

The delegation listened to a brief explanation of the preparatory year in King Khalid University and visited the classrooms and laboratories. At the end of their visit to the compound, they deliver souvenirs. Then, the delegation moved to the Deanship of Admission and Registration where they get informed about acceptance mechanism of the university, scientific disciplines, and offered programs. They also get the answers to many inquiries concerning the e-acceptance of the University. After that, they met His Excellency the Vice-President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Ali Hassoun, who welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Rector. Dr. Al Hassoun urged the students to do much effort, especially they are educated in a province embodies loyalty and sacrifice for this generous country. The delegation then moved to visit the Deanship of student Affairs in order to check the most prominent achievements and its role in the discovery of talent and student abilities in order to guide them proper guidance. The delegation then visited the Deanship of Library Affairs to check its achievements and the mechanism to take advantage of global search engines and harness in science and knowledge service. There was a visit to Medicine Faculty where the delegation was briefed on the leading academic programs of the Faculty and visited the morgue, medical laboratories, and others.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Dhahran Al Janoub, Dr. Misfer Ahmed Al Atif said that the visit came within the framework of the university community partnership with educational institutions in the region and offering everything that would achieve progress to education; its staff of students and teachers.
