University to organize "Modern Sciences Technology" forum in Ragab

Arts and Sciences College of Mahayl Asir is organizing "Modern Sciences Technology in finding solutions for applied problems" forum. The event takes place on Wednesday, 1 Ragab 1438 AH corresponding to the 29th of March 2017 AD. Holding such forum comes to prove the university keenness on scientific research, and it is a method to exchange experiences among the teaching staff and improve their abilities, in addition to promoting the research culture among the University employees.

On this occasion, the Dean of the College, Samira Awad Al Sayegh said that the forum aims to discover and improve participants' research competences and highlight their creative intellectual abilities through giving them the chance to show their research projects.  Participants are going to give scientific lectures and workshops and spread culture in different scientific journals. Moreover, the forum is a good chance for King Khalid University teaching staff to exchange experiences among themselves and with other universities by exchanging views and discussions about the provided researches. The forum also aims to improve bachelor degree students' scientific research skills and spread a sort of scientific discussions spirit that will indeed enlarge students' knowledge while they acquire scientific information appropriately, in addition to promoting excellence and scientific competition. The event also aims to form a team consisted of students and teaching staff who will be able to organize such events in the future. Through this forum, the University tries to improve the students' administrative and executive skills, which would, in turn, achieve the University vision; establishing an effective partnership with the female students.

The forum includes two pivots:

  • Nanotechnology and its applications. Natural and industrial resources in saving energy and the diversity of its sources, in addition to mathematics and its role in serving the community.
  • Water resources and purification. Natural and industrial resources in serving the environment and applied health sciences.

Al Sayegh further stated that research abstracts could be received on ashendi@kku.edu.sa and the provided research paper mustn't exceed 250 words. The deadline for receiving research suggestions will be the 1st of Jummah Al Al Akhra 1438 AH corresponding to the 28th of February 2017.

Al Sayegh seized the opportunity to thank the University Rector, Prof Faleh Rajaa Allah Al Solamy for his support for the forum. She also thanked the general supervisor of Tehama branch Prof. Muhamed bin Naser Al Qarni who has had an effective role in developing the colleges of the branch. Al Sayegh finally thanked the team which shouldered organization and implementation of the forum.
