His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al salami, has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect him - and the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect him - on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. His Excellency the Rector prayed to Allah - the Almighty - to keep the Islamic and Arab nations to enjoy prosperity, good fortune and delights, and to protect the land of the Two Holy Mosques from any kind of harm.

His Excellency the Rector also condemned the terroristic crimes that were committed by the hand of treachery and betrayal in the cities of Al Medina, Jeddah, and Qatif, which claimed the lives of innocent people who dedicated their lives to defend the religion, the nation, and the citizens. In addition, these attacks scared the visitors to the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him.

His Excellency the Rector said, "Targeting the city of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his mosque, and its visitors, is a heinous crime which made it clear to everyone the dangers of this deviant thinking which kill innocent people in a villainous way. Therefore, it became necessary to stand together against those who dare to unsettle our security and stability especially when recent events uncovered that there is a hidden grudge on this dear country."

Rector Al-Salami further pointed out that our brave soldiers have shown the finest examples in service of their religion, the King, and their homeland, by committing themselves to the defense of the homeland. The Rector continued "I pray to Allah - the Almighty - to have mercy on the martyrs of them, and to strengthen the others so as to fight this unjust fragmentation." The Rector also stressed that all the people of "this generous country have condemned this heinous crime and have stood united behind their wise leadership to fight these ideas which are totally discredited by all religions".
