University President participates in the conference of general education evaluation

His Excellency King Khalid University (KKU) President, Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Aldawood participated in the general education evaluation conference; an entrance to Quality and development. The conference is sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, and was inaugurated by His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh province. International and Saudi spokesmen participated in the conference. They handled the idea of evaluation to get benefit out of successful international experiments, and they showed how to take part in developing the criteria of educational curriculum, programs, and practices. In addition, they aimed at spreading the culture of evaluation among those who are in the education field, looking forward to making partnerships with universities, bodies, and specialized research centers.

The conference was organized by the general education evaluation entity within its serious efforts to achieve quality in education, in addition to elevating its level to reach global competitive standards. Arranging such conferences proved the responsibility taken on the shoulder of the general education evaluation entity. The entity seeks to evaluate education system and tries to guarantee its quality. Moreover, the entity sets up main criteria and indicators that will evaluate governmental and private schools performance, in addition to establishing criteria for the general education curriculum and setting up the national legalized examinations to all stages of education.
