His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood has given an order to keep all the gates of the Science Faculty Complex open during working hours, as well as those of the College of Arts and Education for Girls in Abha. The reason is to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic within the complex. The President also ordered to pave the triangle in front of the gate of the College of Arts, and to plant herbs in it. In addition, the Rector ordered to pave the entrances to the two colleges as well as to arrange parking places for parents of the students and drivers.

These orders were stated during the Rector's surprise visit on Monday to a number of supportive services departments for men in girls colleges. During the visit, the Rector reassured the colleges of smoothness flow of buses which transport students, and of private cars moving to and from the campus. President Aldawood also met some of students' drivers and parents, and discussed them, and listened to their suggestions and opinions on the level of ease of entry to, and exit from the complex. They praised the good organization in the movement of vehicles into, or their exit from the Academic Complex.

On Tuesday, His Excellency the University President paid a similar visit to the Administration of the Supportive Services in the University center for Girl Study. He was briefed on the progress of work, and on the extent of employees and workers inconveniences as a result of the ongoing work. From there, the President made another visit to the clinics of Dentistry where he checked the workflow and the mechanism of receiving cases, as well as the educational process. Furthermore, he listened to some of the students, male and female, and employees who spoke about their needs. On the spot, His Excellency ordered for actions to solve all obstacles and problems that they might be facing, and to take necessary steps to improve the Center's performance.

President Aldawood did not stop there; he headed to the Center of Girl Students Study adjacent to Asir Central Hospital. There, he was briefed on the progress of the educational and administrative works, and he checked the offices of faculty members (male section), where he met a group of them, and heard their suggestions and opinions. The Rector also inspected the buffet, and here too, he was briefed on the progress of work and the quality of services being provided. At last, he visited the library of the center to see the stand of the services being provided.

It is noteworthy that since being the Rector of the university, Aldawood has pursued such surprise visits to all colleges, and facilities of the university. This is because of his desire on the progress of all developmental works and projects, and his need to raise the level of educational and administrative services being provided by the university as well as by all its affiliates.
