University President Meets with American Ambassador to improve Academic Cooperation

His Excellency, President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, welcomed the American ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Michael Alan Ratney, in his Al-Fara'a University City office. The ambassador was accompanied by the General-Consul of the US Consulate in Jeddah, Mr. Faris Asa'ad, alongside a number of consulate and embassy employees.

To commence the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the American ambassador and his accompanying delegation, and expressed his appreciation for their valued visit. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation enrichment in culture, science, and research between King Khalid University and American universities.

The two parties discussed scholarship facilitation for TAs and lecturers from the university to the United States, study visa facilitation, and admission. As well as conducting collaborative research projects in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.

During a tour of Al-Fara'a University City, Mr. Michael Alan Ratney praised the university's facilities, and reviewed the university's strategy, its future vision, and its scientific advancement with what serves the region of Asir, the kingdom at large, and developing the university's international outlook.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-President for Graduate studies and Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni, the Director of the Administration of Local and International Cooperation and the Administration of Scholarships, alongside a number of university employees, faculty members, and students.
