KKU Organizes Programs for International Day of Tolerance and Day of International Students

King Khalid University celebrated the International Day of tolerance and the Day of International students by organizing a variety of programs. His Excellency, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, stressed the importance of these two events, as they serve students and highlight the kingdom's heritage, legacy, and culture.

The Supervisor of the King Khalid University General Administration, Dr. Mohammad bin Mofreh Al-Morie said, the university currently welcomes more than 2300 students from 85 countries, and offers admission through the "Study in Saudi Arabia" platform. He added that the university provides housing, medical services, and academic support for international students. As well as English and Arabic linguistic support through specialized centers, like the Arabic Language for Non-native speakers unit. 

Al-Morie highlighted the social and cultural activities for international students, which included trips to Asir's most prominent landmarks. The trips included a visit to "Tamnyah" Museum. Consultant of the Vice-President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saeed bin Mohammad Al-Shahrani, expressed how such trips are important to introduce international students to the kingdom's way of life and its history, while anchoring their role in the social fabric surrounding them.

Students from the History and Archaeology Department visited the Governance of Khamis Mushait, and met Governor Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Mushait at the Governance headquarters, where they went on a trip to Al-Mushait historical forts and markets; they were accompanied by History Teaching-Assistant, Dr. Abdullah Marzouq. 

Al-Morie added that the university aspires to enrich international partnerships in education from around the world, and to encourage faculty and student exchange. As well as organizing international, collaborative, and certified programs.

"International students are a top priority and an integral part of the university's social sphere", said the Dean for Students' Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mosfer Al-Qahtani on a visit to the students' housing facility. He also stressed the importance of international students' participation in university programs and activities. 

It is worth noting that the General Administration for Institutional Communication launched a media campaign in celebration of the International Day of Tolerance and the Day of International Students.
