KKU Holds Closing Ceremony for Summer Training Program for the Year 1444H
On Monday, October 9th, the university held the closing ceremony for the summer training program for the year 1444H at the University City Conference Center in Al-Fara'a. His Excellency, King Khalid University president, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami attended the event, which was organized by the Vice-Presidency for Academic affairs.
The Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, shared some statistics; 1119 trained students across all colleges, 10 professional certifications in the general path, and 3 in the specialized path; provided by two of the most reputable training companies in the middle east, Morgan and LeRon. CEO of Morgan, Fadi Kani and his deputy, Shadi abi Nader, gave some recommendations regarding student training programs.
Dajam explained, "Through the Summer Training Program, the university contributed towards the objectives of the Human Capital Development Program". Adding that professional certification broadens graduates' job opportunities, and equips them with the necessary skills and deep understanding.
Vice-President for Students' Affairs and Director of the Students' Training and Exchange Unit, Dr. Mona Abdullah Al-Shehri, presented a brief explanation of the training programs.
The Specialized Training Path included,
- Intensive IELTS training program, presented by the College of Language and Translation for 69 beneficiaries.
- Basic Life Support Program, presented by the clinical skills center at the College of Medicine for 460 beneficiaries.
- Clinical Skills Certification (ASHP), presented by the College of Pharmacy for 80 beneficiaries.
Al-Shehri also declared that 1470 students registered for the General Training Path, which provided the following certificates,
- Certified Management Accountant.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor.
- Human Resources Certified Professional.
- Certified Digital Marketing Professional.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional.
- Project Management Assistant.
- Data Fundamentals.
- Microsoft Office Specialist.
- Certified Digital Marketing Specialist - Social Media.
- Introduction to Logistics and Transportation.
