Al-Barqi Receives the Rashid bin Humaid Cultural and Sciences Award in the Field of Literary Criticism

Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Barqi, professor of Arabic Language and Literature at the
College of Humanities at King Khalid University, was awarded first place in the Rashid bin
Humaid Cultural and Sciences Award 2022's 39th cycle in the field of literary criticism.

Al-Barqi’s, achievement is an extension of a series of scientific and research creations. Prof.
Abdulrahman previously received Abha’s Prize for short stories for the year 1420AH, he
supervised and discussed more than 24 master's and doctoral scientific thesis and completed
an estimate of 20 scientific works in various fields of Arabic language sciences and
literature.

Al-Barqi ,explained that he always believe in the saying: "Knowledge will not give you a part
of it, until you give it all of yourself
", affirming that scientific research requires constant
perseverance, continuing work, enjoying the pleasure of discovery, and reaching new
answer", which he added will in turn will lead to new questions that raise the thrill of
research and the passion of discovering new research areas. He ended his statement by saying
that scientific research is "a life process", indicating both the importance and joy of dedicating
one's life to scientific research.

Al-Barqi, is an eminent role model and an expert in science and research, and King Khalid
University is proud of his accomplishments and views him as an inspiration worthy of
celebration.
