A classification for the KKU puplic health diploma

The Public Health Diploma program at the Community Service Deanship at King Khalid University, in cooperation with Applied Medical Sciences  College in Khamis Mushait, has been classified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Prof. Omar Alwan Aqeel, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, says:” this diploma comes within the university keenness to develop and improve its programs and providing classified programs and diplomas. This program aims to qualify graduates, especiallyhigh school graduates and workers in public health, in order to develop their skills, and  work in jons as : health observers; Infection control technicians; food supply monitors; standards and metrology technicians; technical warehouse secretaries in public health; public health technicians, health guides in general preparation schools. Noteworthy that this  program is for two years”.

Aqeel added, the deanship is offered a variuos of classified applied diploma programs too such as: Computer networks, smart devices, computer maintenance, smart internet systems, security supervision and inspection, E-marketing, editing and secretarial, accounting, public relations, human resource management, occupational safety and health, applied programming, and information systems programming.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabaani, Dean of Applied Medical Sciences College in Khamis Mushait, stated that the graduates of this diploma will have the ability to identify the influencing factors and infectious diseases and deal with them and prevent them in health facilities; the ability to detect epidemics that affect society, and predict environmental factors that cause a health risk; as well ad the ability to control health work and deal with human food and ensure its safety.
