Neshama Asir: Governor of Asir Brings Telemedicine to the Forefront
His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region, launched the Neshama Asir Initiative. Neshama Asir will be implemented by the College of Medicine. It is a community-based medical initiative that aims to provide online medical consultations in a number of specialties with specialized medical counselors.
His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, affirmed that this initiative comes within the university's role in societal contribution and national engagement, noting that online medical consultations for patients will be delivered as a response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Suliman Al-Humayed, explained that this initiative will provide an open channel for patients to have an online medical consultation with doctors in various fields. He noted that consultation will be available daily from Sunday to Thursday from 1330 to 2030.
