King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, announced the dates of admission and registration for the upcoming academic year. This announcement coincides with the launch of new majors and services.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni explained that the University is keen to increase the number of admitted applicants to accommodate an optimal number students -- an increase of 10% from last year. He further noted that this year's registration is moderated by King Khalid University, Baha University, Bisha University, Jazan University, and Najran University. The collaboration is expected to enhance and improve registration capacity.
Dean Al-Qarni added: "10 new areas of study have been offered by the University at its main campus including architecture, planning, law, industrial engineering and fashion design. Additionally, new majors have been introduced to satellite campuses that include English, computer science, finance, biology, Arabic, and Islamic studies."
Dean Al-Qarni pointed out that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at King Khalid University has provided two new special services for students that will help the accessibility of registration and ease the process of transferring into majors and colleges. During the admissions period, every student will now be granted a registration number which will allow students that were not accepted the chance of a late admission when an opening is available. In the case of transferring into new fields and career paths, students can transfer into different majors during their admission period and complete administrative transactions online without the need to go to the admissions office of the University.

His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, launched the Electronic Games and Application Club in the presence of the university vice rector of academic affairs, the dean of student affairs, the vice rector of student activities, and the general supervisor of the university iT administration.
The idea of forming an electronic games and application club was inspired by the iT administration's vision that is based on growth and partnership with the community specifically in the field of technology; it is also in accord with the University's Strategic Plan, the National 2020 Transformation Program, and Vision 2030 -- which all aim to invest in human capital to achieve national goals.
The Electronic Games and Application Club is a student-centered group supervised by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The club is concerned with electronic games R&D, technology, industry, media, and psychology. This club will emphasize on building character in students by developing life skills such as creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, effective communication, planning, problem-solving and technical skills. In doing so, the cognitive abilities and practical skills of the participants are expected to undergo long-lasting positive effects.
