His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh Rajaa Allah Al solamy, has sponsored signing a strategic partnership agreement between King Khalid University (KKU) and Almarai Inc. The occasion of the signing took place in the main hall of the university. The Dean of Research Institute and Consulting, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi, represented the University, while the General Manager of the company's office, Mr. Ali Al-Qahtani, represented the company.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Latif al-Hadithi said that the university always seeks to go into partnerships, because of its awareness of its responsibilities towards the community, in addition to its commitment to partnerships that provide various services to the university and its students. Dr. Al-Hadithi stressed that the agreement came within the framework of cooperation between the two sides in the field of managerial, marketing, industrial, and technical issues of common interest. The agreement also aims at training university students in the company, as well as cooperation in support of joint research projects between the two parties. Other aims include the coordination and organizing of the diverse events, and the promotion of industrial and touristic development in the region of Asir, in addition to the mutual benefit from the expertise of both parties. The agreement further aims at coordination and participation in community-based care that serve both the university and the company's programs. The University would welcome experts from the company to give practical and training lectures for students of the university. Finally, the agreement seeks at the provision of manufacturing and marketing data and information for researchers, as well as for the university students in the qualitative research.
