Dr. Abdul Hamid Mohammed Al-Suleiman, the Counselor in the Ministry of Higher Education, who is also the General Supervisor on the Saudi Digital Library, in addition to being a member of the faculty of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, explained that since the establishment of the Saudi Digital Library in 2010, it has become one of the most prominent conglomerates models in the Arab world. The Library is prominent in the field of university supplies of electronic sources of information in terms of the number of members and the size of available sources, besides participating in databases and in electronic books.

In a seminar entitled "the Saudi Digital Library and its role in Serving Higher Education ", within the cultural program that accompanied the King Khalid University's 13th Book and Information Fair, Al-Suleiman informed that the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education "is conscious of the great responsibility on the shoulders of the library, and the amount of the tasks entrusted to it. The Ministry is also aware of the Library's most important responsibility, which is oriented investment to the generations of the nation in order to enhance their scientific and cognitive abilities to cope with the requirements of the time, and to prepare them for future leadership, in a way to achieve progress and prosperity.

Al-Suleiman also discussed a number of topics including: the Saudi Digital Library and its role in serving higher education, the content of the Saudi Digital library and providing its services and products to the beneficiaries, in addition to referring to the statistics of using information sources, the Saudi scientific production in international journals, as well as the evolution of the numerous participation of the universities
