King Khalid University's Bariq Program Clinics offered a number of high-quality services to the residents of Bariq and the surrounding areas. The physical therapy clinic received a rare condition of a 9-year-old child who suffers from muscle atrophy, which is a result of a distortion in the process of muscle and bone growth. Assistant Professor of Medical Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Mustor Al-Deraa, explained that the child's condition is caused by a genetic defect that causes hereditary abnormalities in the joints and upper and lower extremities over time.

On the awareness and education side, the university offered management clinics to educate and treat smokers on the dangers of smoking. Clinics Supervisor, Saeed Zweiffer, explained that the silver sensation device helps stimulate the pituitary gland with 'electromagnetic' impulses to secrete Beta Endromine. Zweiffer pointed out that a smoker needs 5 consecutive sessions with the device on a daily basis. Each session takes about 30 minutes. Of noteworthy mention, the university also offers the device in Abha.
