676 Trainees in the First Week of the Seventh Annual Regional Healthcare Initiative in Bariq

King Khalid University launched the first week of the Seventh Annual Regional Healthcare Initiative in Bariq. The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education led the way by holding more than 9 training programs serving nearly 700 participants.

 

The programs were complemented by awareness workshops on the importance of cybersecurity delivered by Dr. Amira Tayfor. Dr. Tayfour discussed the definition of digital transformation, its benefits, and the obstacles facing it. Also addressed were the most prominent threats that face cybersecurity, the methods of protection applied to technology security, the definition of cyber crimes, and the motives for committing them. After, Dr. Sumya Oksaha presented a workshop entitled 'Linguistic Features in the Holy Quran', which elaborated on significant linguistic features in the Holy Quran.

 

In the second phase of the events, a workshop entitled 'Procedures to University Admission' was delivered by Mrs. Nalaa Al-Asmari and Mrs. Ahlam Hassan. Their workshop - tailored to prospective candidates - explained the admission procedures for the next academic year, registration entry to the online portal, and a clarification of the numerous stages of acceptance. After, Dr. Adam Omar held a workshop on the internal review process and the KSA's United Board of Standards. The purpose of Dr. Omar's workshop was to introduce the concepts, tasks, standards, and principles of the process. Then, Dr. Najah Anas delivered a seminar on learning outcomes where she defined and introduced the concept of learning outcomes and the importance of quality education to achieve accreditation. She also illustrated how learning outcomes should be and are designed in accord with the needs of the labor market.

 

In all, many of the week's activities were focused on providing social development workshops. Four sessions were delivered that included:

 

  • 'The Role of Self-Confidence' by  Dr. Wafa Al-Mtawg; 
  • 'Marriage Rights in the Holy Quran' Dr. Wafa Al-Bishri;
  • 'The Art of Treating People' by Dr. Kawther Abdullah; 
  • 'The Dangers of Bullying' by Dr. Khalida Mohammad.
