University Holds Fifth Council Meeting
His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University, Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, convened the fifth meeting of the University Council for the current academic year 1439H. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Interim Committee, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, to carry out the functions assigned to the Council of Higher Education. The meeting was also attended by the University Vice-Presidents, Deans, Supportive Deanships, and the Deans of female campuses who are council members.
Al-Solamy opened the session by thanking God and sending prayers and salutations to the Messenger of Allah (S). Later, the University Vice-President of Graduate Studies and Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Saad Al-Omari, reviewed the topics of the session on the agenda.
The University Vice-President for Graduate Studies, Dr. Saad Al-Omari, stated that the members of the council approved the strategic plan of the University in 2018-2020. Equally important, they further recommended adopting the correction of the list of scientific departments within the structure of the Faculty of Medicine. Lastly, they reviewed the renewal of contracts for numerous faculty members and the appointment of nine lecturers.
