A Meeting to Activate the Agreement Between the University and the Department of Civil Defense in the Asir Region
His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al Solamy, received a delegation from the Department of Civil Defense in the Asir Region headed by the Civil Defense Director, Brigadier General Ghazi Bin Yahya Al Alami. During the visit, they held an extensive meeting to discuss the terms of the cooperative agreement that has been signed between the two parties.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector welcomed the Director of Civil Defense and his accompanying delegation, stressing the necessity and importance of activating the agreement. The Rector confirmed that the university's facilities and human capital are in the service of civil defense and public interest.
For his part, the Director of Civil Defense in Asir Region, Brigadier General, Ghazi bin Yahya Al Alami, expressed his profound happiness with the agreement to establish cooperation based on the shared responsibilities towards society.
It is worth mentioning that the idea of forming a joint working team from the University and the Directorate of Civil Defense in the Asir region was discussed. The purpose is to transform the areas covered by the agreement into executive programs and activities that are expected to start next year. Fields include awareness and religious education, bilateral training between the two parties, scientific studies and the research of systemic issues which are relevant to Civil Defense and contribute to finding innovative and scientific solutions in the fields of safety and fire prevention, radiation hazards, and most importantly the critical areas of safety and security.
