The Launch of the First Phase of the “Tamara” Program for Toxicology Awareness at the University

King Khalid University, in cooperation with the Poison Center, organized an awareness program on the harms of  toxins and ways to prevent them, in the presence of civil defense and Red Crescent employees.

 

The Director of  Prince Sultan Center for Environmental Research  and Tourism Studies Dr. Rahma Al-Shahrani, explained that the program included seven lectures, that discussed topics such as "Advices for the Prevention of Poisoning”, "Prevention and Treatment of Snake Bites" the  importance of conducting toxicology analyzes, and the role of the Poison Center in the prevention and treatment of poisons. The program also included a  lecture that addressed approaches to common environmental diseases, and awareness of the types of toxins, especially biological diseases.

 

It is worth noting that  the program is supervised by the Emirate of Asir region and implemented by the university in cooperation with a number of authorities.
