Both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty Languages and Translation of King Khalid University (KKU) have completed their participation in the activities of the university's 11th annual scientific research that was launched earlier this week. The event was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research, in collaboration with research centers that are affiliated to the faculties. The faculty members of the Languages and Translation College provided a number of researches reaching 16 in number.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi expressed his happiness to the holding of such events, saying "through such activities, we seek to benefit the college and its students." He added, "The College arranges weekly activities in which a large number of people from all the faculties get the opportunity to meet each other, so as to discuss their researches that will take part in developing the college and its students." Regarding the Faculty of Science, it also concluded its participation in the event by providing 44 research papers, varied between 12 scientific lectures, in addition to displaying 32 stickers.

The Director of Research Center at the Faculty of Science, Dr. Awad Hussein Al Mohi clarified that the events of the annual scientific research met the university's vision and mission; the encouragement and the development of scientific research. The Director said, "Faculty members' participation in the event enables them to show their scientific outputs. In addition, such events create a quiet environment for the training of graduate studies students."

It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Science comes in the forefront of the University colleges in the field scientific research, based on the results of the global database ISI Web of Science. As a proof, the Faculty of Science produced 58% of the university classified researches since its inception.
