University launches the events of "Scientific Research Days" with 74 researches.

On behalf of His Excellency the President of King Khalid University (KKU) Prof. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the Vice - President for Health Specialties, Dr. Khalid Al jelban, on Monday the 16/11/1436 AH, launched the events of the 11th Annual Scientific Research. The events are organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research of the University, in cooperation with research centers located on different faculties. On the first day of the events, Dr. Al jelban had a look on the participation of health colleges. The colleges introduced 74 researches varied between oral researches and scientific posters.

On his speech at the occasion, Dr. Khalid Al jelban stressed on the importance of scientific research to a faculty member at the individual level, as well as at the university level to strengthen its position globally. Furthermore, Dr. Al jelban pointed out that "scientific research serves the community and enables the University to take its turn to solve its problems and to discuss appropriate solutions", and that "the goals of scientific research could be achieved after strong support and the establishment of a strong infrastructure with the creation of a suitable environment." Al jelban further explained that the presence of qualified researches that  are relevant with the development of strategies and effective plans to achieve specific and clear research paths, helps to get to the distinctive researches which will be in line with the pace and the objectives of the university. He added, "Such research configures strong motive to form work teams between health colleges, in addition to engaging students in such research in order to invest their capabilities to produce distinctive researches".

For his part, the Dean of Scientific Research of the University Dr. Eid bin Lafi Al-Otaibi, said that "scientific research day is one of the important elements in the system of scientific research development, which is one of the most fundamental pillars. The scientific day reflects the students' and the faculty members' participation in scientific research, as researchers and specialists gathered under one roof".
