His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, President of King Khalid University, emphasized the important role the university plays in supporting national objectives and Asir's strategy by fostering an environment that is both educational and enjoyable for the region's summer visitors.

This came during the launch of His Excellency the "Discover & Learn" program, the first program of its kind in Saudi universities, which offers integrated educational, training, and recreational programs through which students live a full and unique experience of university life.

Al-Solami stressed during the meeting that this program comes in the context of the university's strategic directions in its recently launched 2030 strategy, as the university seeks to be a center of attraction for studies, events, and investment based on enabling factors and revenue-generators.

On his part, University Vice President for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, explained that the university seeks to harness its capabilities to create innovative educational programs through integrated cultural and heritage summer programs, providing the student with a unique experience. Further, the university offers courses as part of the entertainment programs provided to students from Saudi and Gulf universities. The university also provides a professional career preparation program, as well as an English language study program in partnership with one of the prominent parties in this field.

Al-Hadithi added that in addition to hosting numerous camps, summer hackathons, and a variety of different entertainment programs, the university offers a program to train entrepreneurs, which offers quality courses to support individuals with promising project ideas to help them turn those ideas into entrepreneurial projects.
