In a report published by the National eLearning Center (NeLC), King Khalid University recently excelled among Saudi universities coming in 1^st place in the category of enriching open educational resources through NeLC's platform, OERx. The university also ranked 2^nd among all educational and non-educational organizations in the Kingdom, behind the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Adel Qahmash, the Dean of the Deanship of E-Learning at King Khalid University, explained that the university's success in achieving 1^st place was the result of a number of programs and initiatives created to enrich open educational resources, emphasizing that the university contributed to making 1,668 educational resources available, while the number of interactions exceeded 100,000.

It is important to note that the university has won numerous national and international accolades for its work in the field of e-learning and the open educational resources development.
