Nazaha Holds "Protection of Public Money" Workshop

Within the framework of the partnership between King Khalid University and the Oversight
and Anti-Corruption Authority, the Authority held on Thursday, the 8th of December, a
workshop entitled "Protection of Public Money", coinciding with the International Anti-
Corruption Day, which comes this year under the slogan "20 years of the United Nations
Convention against Corruption: Towards a World United Against Corruption".

The workshop, which was held remotely and presented by a member of the Oversight and
Anti-Corruption Authority, Hanan bint Muhammad Al-Salihi, focused on the importance of
preserving public money and the role of the employee in that regard. The workshop also
discussed the importance of public money, its concept in Islamic law, types of control over
public money, ways of protecting it, as well as the effects of abusing public money and
national properties.

It is noteworthy that the workshop witnessed the attendance of more than 200 beneficiaries,
including officials and employees of the governorates of Tihama, government agencies, and
the university branch.
