Engineering and Science Departments Receive Advance International Rankings
King Khalid University recently achieved a new international achievement, through the advance academic rankings obtained by departments from both the engineering and science colleges in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 20200. The Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects ranked King Khalid Engineering and Energy Sciences major as 301 globally, and the mathematics department in 401.This category in the classification publishes the results of international universities in 54 academic disciplines, falling under the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, as well as social sciences.
On his part the General Supervisor of the International Classifications Unit at the university, Dr. Sami Al-Shehri, explained that this achievement comes after the departments attainment of five indicators measured by the GRSA which include research outputs, research impact, international cooperation, in addition to research quality, and international academic awards.
It is noteworthy that this is the first of its kind in the history of King Khalid University.
