University Council Adopts Recommendations for Operational Improvements

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, chaired the fourth meeting of the University Council, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, the University Vice Rectors and the College Deans.
The Vice Rector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and the Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Saad Al-Amry, explained that the recommendations to establish a Department of Modern Languages and a Mining Engineering Department were approved. They also announced that the university would begin publishing journals on administrative and financial services management. The Council has approved a number of recommendations including:
- Execution of an academic contract between the university and the American educational company ELS Educational Services, Inc.;
- An agreement between the university and the Southern Federal University of Russia;
- Promotion of university employees;
- Upgrades to the Guidance Counseling Unit and Guidance Counseling Center;
- Upgrades to the Special Needs Unit and the Special Needs Center;
- Adoption of postgraduate programs in rehabilitation.
