Academic Development and Quality Deanship Conducts 61 Faculty Training Courses

The university Deanship of Academic Development and Quality submitted its activities report for the 1439-1440H academic year. The Deanship's programs are designed to help improve faculty skills, which in turn enhances student academic performance. These programs are open to professors, instructors and teaching assistants across all colleges. Even non-Arabic speakers can participate in many of these programs. Topics covered this year included: Leadership skills and management techniques, learning strategies, active learning, technology in education, learning outcomes, teaching strategies, program accreditation requirements and academic communication skills.

 

The Deanship conducted 61 training courses serving nearly 1,500 faculty members this academic year. The Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hajri, stressed the university is committed to faculty development. He said "Improving our faculty is an investment in the university's future. Our students and communities ultimately benefit from these efforts". The Dean thanked the university Rector and Vice Rector for their continued support and encouragement of these programs.
