Advanced Diplomas and New Graduate Programs

The King Khalid University Council issued a number of approved directives. The Energy and Water Resource Research Unit and the University Design Unit received expanded operational authority that entitles both units to be designated as centers. In response to an earlier request, a number of advanced diploma and graduate programs were approved. His Excellency the University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, chaired the meeting in the presence of the Higher Education Council Interim Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, the university vice rectors, college deans, and the vice rectors of supporting deanships.

Vice Rector for Higher Studies, Dr. Saad Al-Amry, and Interim Secretary-General Al-Saleh confirmed the approval of the Community College and Continuous Education Deanship final account as well as the approval of the expansion of the Energy and Water Resource Research Unit to the Energy and Water Resource Research Center, and the University Design Unit to the University Design Center. Vice Rector Al-Amry added that the University also approved a number of advanced diploma programs in tax accounting, law, and safety and fire prevention. He then confirmed the approval of the following graduate programs: Masters in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Masters in Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Masters in Special Education, Department of Special Education Faculty of Education.
