More than 37043 beneficiaries of the 5th health educational program in Alharidh

The number of beneficiaries of the King Khalid University 5th health, educational, and awareness program in Alharidh in Rejal Alma'e province had reached more than 37 043 beneficiaries. 230 of the university specialized, academic, and administrative cadres had implemented it.

The College of Sharia had implemented more than 73 activities including lectures, courses, and Juma speeches. 11770 people in government departments, schools, social houses, and mosques benefited from these activities. Provided lectures and speeches offered a number of topics, the most important was about the young people's confrontation to doubts and desires, the charm of atonement and blasting, intellectual security: necessity, its causes, and the blessings of security and how to keep it, as well as intellectual invasion threat: its causes  and treatment, pictures of the miracles of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, intellectual distractions: danger, methods, and treatment, mastery of work, honesty and responsibility, in addition to obedience to the parents and its fruit, the sanctity of blood, money and symptoms, citizenship rights and duties, and other lectures.

The clinics associated with the program provided necessary services for more than 18612 beneficiaries, provided by 187 different medical clinics, a number of laboratories, and rays labs. The clinics depended on various types of instrument, with a pharmacy that contained more than 200 kinds of medicines.  A number of colleges participated in the activities such as college of medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Applied Medical Sciences, and the College of Languages and Translation, in addition to the Medical City, College of Nursing in Abha, and the College of Nursing in Khamis Mushayt, Care Association, and Kawthar Association.

The program witnessed giving lectures, visual presentations, and training sessions, as well as field surveys and workshops to over 6661 beneficiaries, with the participation of the Faculty of Law and Deanship of Admission and Registration, Deanship of Community Service, and the Deanship of Student Services, and the General Administration of security and safety at the university.

It is noteworthy that the program is hosted annually by the King Khalid University in remote areas of Asir region. It aims to build a partnership with members of the community, and it is stemmed from the university's vision; the University activities should not be limited to education and research, but extends outside institutions, to reach its services to various sectors, groups, and ages, to provide them with the knowledge and expertise of renewable and health services. The University seeks to become an active partner with the community
