A study reviews the latest developments of reconciliation in murder and exaggeration in Blood Money.

The Research and Advisory studies Institute, at King Khalid University (KKU), has released a study titled "the latest developments of reconciliation in murder, reality and legitimacy." For the purpose of benefiting from the study, the university has provided some of the relevant government agencies with this study.The relevant agencies include the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court, the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution, all the emirates of provinces, and the related reform committees. The study has received a wide resonance among those interested in this subject.

The study aims at addressing objectively the reality of the reconciliation in the murder cases so as to help the people in this kind of case, as well as the officials handling such cases, to take the appropriate decision based on a comprehensive objective scientific study. The study also seeks to raise community awareness of the legal reconciliation, in addition to enriching the jurisprudence library with a solid scientific study.

The study handled various topics, including having the tribe of the murderer to pay the money they admit, no matter how much. The Study also obliges the tribe to establish a fund to pay money in Blood Money in the murder or in the case of reconciliation. The study also included the topic of expelling the killer and his descendants, and cutting them off of the tribe, as well as forcing the killer and his heirs for a waiver from the land of their property and the role of this condition.

It is worth mentioning that the study concludes with recommendations including studying jurisprudence developments, intensifying society awareness in order to stop bloodshed, the formation of committees by the competent authorities to take over the pursuit of reconciliation in a murder case, considering the exaggeration in the current blood money, and the establishment of specialized research centers to take care of the monitoring and studying social phenomena of all kinds.
