The university president urges to speed up the transfer of a number of female colleges

His Excellency the president of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Falah bin Raja Allah Al Solamy, is urging the responsible contractor working on the female buildings in Al Mahalah, to speed up the work, and to intensify the efforts in order to finish it in sufficient time before the start of the study.

This came yesterday during an inspection visit to the buildings by His Excellency, which included the building of Applied Medical Sciences College, the building of Arts and Sciences College, and the building of Community College. Additionally, it is expected to transfer also the colleges of Khamis Mushayt academic campuses 1 and 2 to these buildings, which serve more than 5 thousand students.

During the visit the Rector was accompanied by His Excellency, the Vice President in charge medical specialties, Prof. Dr. Khalid Al Jalban, and a number of deans, and directors of the relevant departments. There, His Excellency, Al Solamy directed for the preparation to transfer the buildings one by one, confirming on the importance of determining specific standards in buildings characteristics suitable with university identity. He asked to reset the theaters in female colleges. He also called to adopt all construction projects by Technical Affairs Administration in collaboration with all Project Management Administration. Further more, His Excellency stressed on the need to report the achieved works of theses urgent buildings, pointing out that the old buildings have many problems that should be avoided in new buildings. "There are flaws in the old buildings and that’s why the students should be moved urgently to the new ones when they are in the fullest readiness ", he said.
