The Rector inaugurates the initiative of educational data analysis at e-learning.

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU) Prof. Dr. Falleh bin Raja Allah Al Solamy, has, on Monday morning, inanaugrated the educational data analysis at deanship of e-learning. It is one of qualitative initiatives at the universities level and that is because of its interest and focus on the quality to the learning environment for students. Upon arrival, His Excellncy the Rector, took a tour of the e-learning labs at where he was briefed on the working mechanism and technical devices available to the employees there. After that the ceremony started with an introductory film about the achievements of the e-learning Deanship. The presentation included a number of programs and electronic services which have been provided by the deanship, highlighting on Tamkeen program. The aim of the program is to train the faculty members, and students on e-learning programs, e-tests and e-courses. It also deals with classification and accreditation of courses in partnership with the specialized authorities in the field of e-learning. In addition to that, the ceremony presented several excellence awards achieved by the deanship in e-learning field at the level of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf universities, which are the most prominent of the QM Organization. Next, the dean of e-learning, Dr. Fahad Al Ahmari, gave aspeech handling through the deanship and the educational data analysis initiative. In his speech, Dr. All Shari explained the clear and concrete accomplishments of the University in the e-learning areas. He stated, " the beneficiaries percentage of e-learning programs in the University has reached more than 75%." He pointed out that the data analysis initiative was considered one of qualitative initiatives at the universities level, mentioning the strong interest of the deanship on it. He added "this initiative will enable us to control courses and their efficiency as well as the extent of KKU students to take advantage of these courses and the way they interact with them. Moreover, it will monitor the performance of the faculties. So there will be specific analyzes to each student and faculty member which will contribute to the discovery of the defect, if there is any, and treat it". And on the other hand, It will help on showing the aspects of excellence and the ways of improving them." Following that, a number of successful stories for some colleges have been showed on how they have worked to raise the data analysis reports to the Deanship for: development and the discovery of the defect. Continuously, the examples included the work that were handled on the educational advancement of its envienvironmen. Next, His Excellency the rector was briefed on the brainstorming hall, the halls of visual communication and studio in the deanship. He delivered a speech on which he expressed his delight with what he saw of services, and modern technology in the deanship, praising the efforts of its staff by saying, "I am well pleased with what I have seen from educational services and initiatives provided by the Deanship and its employees in its various branches." He added that he university administration would not hesitate to give full support to the Deanship of anything that would improve the educational process. He said, "we are ambitious from the reality of what we saw in this deanship, that it would be distinguished  locally and internationally among other universities. We at King Khalid University concentrated our aspirations and future plans dramatically in the field of e-learning because that would contribute to the success of the university based on the number of its students and the number of its branch." At the end , the ceremony was concluded with honoring the success partners in the data analysis initiative, which included a number of colleges.
