Admission and Registration Deanship of King Khalid University, has recently launched a new application for apple and android devices. The new application is called Academia for cell phones. The new application's aim is to enable teaching staff to reach electronic services easily and via only one application.

On this development, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, stated that the new application "supports Arabic and English languages, and enables teaching staff to reach electronic services easily". The application enables services such as having a look on students' enrollment, schedules, and monitoring absence via a smartphone. Dr. Al Farah added, "The application also enables the student to proceed to undertake many academic actions such deletion, addition, course apology, semester apology, and delay."  Dr. Al Farah clarified that the student, through the new application could have a look on rewards, academic registry, course scores, and a duplicate copy of his or her university.

It is noteworthy that the coming update of the application is going to add extra services for both the student and the faculty member. All of them will be able to have a look on examinations schedule, monitoring schedule, ID verification, in addition to linking the daily schedule of the student with evaluation. Furthermore, the next update is going to provide other important services for the student such as ATM card request and displaying all the academic actions done by the student during his or her study at the university.
