University signs a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha

King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha.

      The cooperation agreements aim at the areas of academic, investment and tourism cooperation between the       both sides.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region and in the presence of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Al Dawood, the Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili has signed a cooperation agreement between the university and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha. Signing the agreement was during the opening ceremony of the Entrepreneurship International Conference, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Aljbaili stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in the academic society, emphasizing the attention of the Kingdom through its practical steps taken in this regard. He also pointed to the university approved programs in order to support such orientation, believing that those programs were represented in the management and operation of Entrepreneurship and incubation for sponsorship of small projects.

For his part, the Dean of Advisory Research Institute, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Ibrahim Alehithe explained that "the agreement aims at the cooperation between the two sides in conducting studies and researches, in addition to providing administrative, academic, industrial and technical consultations. Furthermore, the agreement tries to establish cooperation in training the students to prepare them for the labor market and to facilitate the appointment of graduates in the private sector institutions". He also noted that the agreement included support to the scientific chairs, to the joint research programs and study, and to the development of investment projects. He further stressed that the leading tasks of both sides, through the agreement, were the participation and cooperation in the organization of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, forums and workshops that would ensure exchange of knowledge and joint utilization of experiences, in addition to the cooperation between the university and the Chamber of commerce, in promoting the development of tourism in Asir region.
