Minister of Education Inspects University Outcomes in Research and Innovation

King Khalid University received His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof.
Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, in its participating booth in the Exhibition of
Promising Technologies and Innovations within the activities of the Sustainable
Partnerships Conference, which was organized by the Ministry of Education in
Riyadh for two days, under the slogan "Research and Innovation towards a
Prosperous Economy".

 

In the presence of a number of ministers, his Excellency the Minister, was briefed on
the university's academic outcomes in the fields of research, innovation, and patents,
alongside the university's future plans and aspirations in this field.

 

On his part, the university Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific
Research, Prof. Hamid Al-Qarni, explained that the university was keen, through its
participation in the exhibition, to showcase its most prominent academic outcomes in
terms of research and innovation, which were represented in a number of research
programs, patents, as well as products and research centers, in addition to industrial
agreements and partnerships.

 

It is worth noting that among the most prominent research products that were
displayed in the participating wing were the innovation of activated carbon production
from the residues of Hassawi rice cultivation, the innovation of the Rift Valley fever
vaccine, and the innovation of the smart beehive.
