Irtiqa, Memorandum of Understanding

On Sunday the 11th of April 2021, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Salami, sponsored, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Charitable Society for Recycling Computers and electronics  "Irtiqa”.

 

Representing the University in the signing was the university's vice-president, Prof. Muhammad bin Hamid Al-Buhairi , while on the association was represented by its executive director, Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Qum.

 

His Excellency the President of the University, Prof.Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami explained that the signing of this memorandum is drawn from the university’s belief in its social responsibilities towards its community and its constant eagerness to activate its partnerships and cooperation with community institutions in general and the non-profit sector in particular.

 

On his part, the Vice President of the University Prof. Muhammad Al-Beheiri confirmed that the  cooperation aims to rehabilitate and recycle electronic devices, and encourage the donation of devices to the charitable sector of deserving people from needy families and international scholarship students.

 

It’s worth noting  that the"Irtiqa" association  is a charitable association registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and  is concerned with collecting used computers, rehabilitating them and distributing them to the community and educational authorities.
