His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Sulami, inaugurated the electronic services app "MyKKU" which was launched by the General Administration of Information Technology on Monday, January 25th, to achieve digital transformation and keep up with the latest technologies, by providing the latest electronic services to the University employees, students and faculty members.

During the inauguration ceremony, Al Sulami commended the university's technical services, and praised  those in charge of the General Administration of Information Technology, the General Department of Cybersecurity and the E-learning Deanship, for their constant cooperation with the university’s members to keep up with the latest technologies. He also expressed the  aspirations of the university members  for more attractive and developed that provide a modern accessible  educational environment.

He specifically thanked all the members of the General Administration of Information Technology for launching the App, which will add a lot to the area of digital transformation. He described the inauguration ceremony as an exceptional event, considering the amount of services presented in the app, and how it's going to positively affect and speed up the work of the University, not to mention that the app is an in-house project carried out fully by the General Administration of Information Technology.

Al Sulami, also announced that the University is working on launching the second edition of His Excellency the University President's awards for digital transformation, with prizes worth 100.000 SR. 

On his part, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Information Technology, Dr. Mohammed Al Saqr, welcomed His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Sulami, and all the attendees, and stressed that the University is working to achieve digital transformation while the world is suffering from Covid19, he then talked briefly about the administration's achievements during 2020, which have  won  three international and national important awards. Al Saqr also talked about the most prominent services  of MyKKU App.

About the KKU App 

MyKKU App enables the University's employees and faculty members to make transactions through their smart phones, the App provides immediate notifications using artificial intelligence, it also enables its users to view the university's news, events and academic regulations.

MyKKU App also allows   students to view their schedules and absence rate, it also allows them to make immediate transactions, and for the first time, the App enables the University members to send quick messages to each other and create groups within the University's community to maintain data privacy. 

It's worth noting that MyKKU App gives an encrypted digital ID for each university member, the ID validates users' data, and it can be used as an identification to attend events at the University.
