Afaq Newspaper Publishes Special Edition on E-Learning

At the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester, the King Khalid University Afaq Newspaper launched a special edition featuring the E-Learning efforts of King Khalid University and several ministries. His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, said: "We are excited to launch this special edition at the beginning of the academic year. Expect to read about the initiatives and programs that were delivered by the Ministry of Education and King Khalid University. These initiatives were critical to continuing the progress of the educational process during the COVID-19 pandemic. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Afaq Newspaper team for their hard work."

 

Rector Al-Solamy then noted that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact educational systems worldwide, leading to school, university, and college closures. With that being said, Rector Al-Solamy highlighted the upside in that this was an opportunity to review and strengthen online training capacity. He then asserted that Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, was and is instrumental in directing public education institutions to invest their technical and administrative capabilities to ensure the continuity of the educational process.

 

Afaq Newspaper General Supervisor, Prof. Ali Al-Qarni, said: "The newspaper focused on e-learning to keep up with the transformations that the educational community in the Kingdom." Prof. Al-Qarni also emphasized the newspaper's interest in national topics, highlighting that the university press at King Khalid University reached this level of success because of the Rector's guidance and King Khalid University's interaction with the community.
