Department of Media and Communication Trains More Than 6,000 Trainees

The Department of Media and Communication at the College of Humanities at organized several programs and training courses on media during the summer break. These programs benefitted more than 6,000 participants from Saudi Arabia and other countries around the world.

 

Head of the Media and Communication Department, Prof. Ali bin Shweil Al-Qarni, was proud of the attendance. He praised the interaction with the programs organized by the Department as a part of "Mobaderoon".

 

Dr. Al-Qarni explained the training courses and programs were a part of the Mobaderoon initiative and included:

  • "The Role of Public Relations in Crisis Management delivered by Ms. Enas Al Kadam.
  • "Managing Corporate Accounts on Twitter" delivered by Director of the Administration of Media and Communication, Ms. Sarah Al-Qahtani;
  • "Social Media Content Industry" lecturer Mr. Muhammad Harisi.

 

Supervisor of the Female Media and Communication Department, Ms. Sarah Jabir Al-Sulami, explained that organizing such training programs is a responsibility towards society.

 

Al-Sulami added that these specific media-related programs are among the essential tools to develop professional skills. They also provide an opportunity to learn new information in the vital media fields addressed by experienced specialized academics.

 

Al-Sulami pointed out that implementing these programs is a result of the Department's efforts and the support of His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy, and the Head of the Media and Communication Department, Prof. Ali bin Shweil Al-Qarni.
