Deanship of E-Learning Issues Stat Report on Summer Courses

The Deanship of E-learning at King Khalid University issued a report on the summer semester's online educational processes. Of note, enrollment reached more than 28,500 students in different majors and headquarters in Abha and other provinces in Asir.

 

Vice Rector of Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad Du'ajim, explained that high-quality e-learning standards were implemented in tandem with guidance and all means of support. This included, he noted, several online training courses and workshops for faculty members and students.

 

Dean of E-learning, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmari, explained reports generated from Blackboard confirmed that there were 763,915 reviews, 2,674,126 discussion boards, 1,226,484 viewed files, and 76,3915 virtual classroom sessions.

 

Dean Al-Ahmari spoke on technical support, where a total of 1,784 operations were made through different channels (phone, WhatsApp, Email, and Anydesk). His team, he explained, issued 23 guides for faculty members and students. Nine courses were delivered in terms of training, of which seven targeted faculty members, with a total of 2,174 attendees. The other two courses were created for students and attracted 1,400 participants. Additionally, the Deanship of E-Learning supervised 25 lectures, which saw the participants of 52,943. Some of the more notable achievements include but are not limited to:

 

  • 11,617 electronic tests and 342 oral exams
  • 739 presentations;
  • 1,146 research papers;
  • 11,617 projects;
  • 955 sections distributed across 637 faculty members received special attention
  • 195 reports on educational operations.

 

The "Tamkeen" YouTube channel continues to offer educational services. The videos posted since the beginning of the summer semester reached 277, with 28,325 views in 889 hours and 298,902 impressions.
