University professors' and students' Inventions attract Sook Okaz visitors

The pavilion of King Khalid University (KKU), which is participating in the events of Sook Okaz in Taif, has received a considerable number of visitors who have come to see the inventions and innovations of the University's outstanding professors and students. The participants have achieved advanced places and have obtained international awards.

During the events of Sook Okaz, the invention of a member of the Faculty of Medicine - Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani - was displayed. The invention is about a tube to prevent clogging of the nostrils hind. The importance of this invention comes from the fact that the stuffy nose is one of the most common cases among newborns, which requires rapid intervention to save the child's life. The invention got the patent from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Britain. In addition, the invention won a gold medal at the Seoul World's Fair of innovations, which is supervised by the World Intellectual Organization, nominated by the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for the care of talented.

Muhammad Ali Zaid Al Asiri, a student of Applied Medical Sciences College, Dental Technology and Compensatory Parts Department, presented another invention about the electronic compensatory cosmetic eye device for those who lost one of the eyes. The device transport natural eye movement to the artificial eye via an electronic lens that transport the movement of the natural eye horny to be send to artificial eye at the same speed and movement, as if the person did not lose an eye. The invention also treats cosmetic eye problem or the so-called fixed cosmetic protease crust.

During the activities at the pavilion, the inventor - Saleh Mohammed Al almaa - displayed Automotive Safety device. It is about safety to cars. In case of theft of the vehicle, the device provides information about the thief, such as the fingerprints, blood type, image, and his voice. The invention received a patent from King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology. The device also provides services such as disabling the car from anywhere in the world via satellite which determines its location. It is planned to develop the idea to the extent that the device will be able to draw accidents, determine the error rate, and send the result directly to the traffic management or the Ministry of Interior.

It is noteworthy that the Talent and Creativity Center of King Khalid University is currently seeking to register more than 40 patents in King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology for students of the university.
