Abu Melha Sponsors the University International Day of Disability Celebration

The University Vice president of Female Affairs,  Prof. Kholoud Abu Melha, sponsored  King Khalid University, International Day of Disability Celebration,  which was represented by the Center for Persons with Disabilities in the Deanship of Student Affairs  in partnership with several community organizations.

In her speech during the celebration, Prof. Dr. Kholoud Abu Melha, confirmed that the university seeks, through this celebration, to raise awareness of disability issues and  to guarantee the rights of this group, which amounts to  one billion people in the world. She noted that  this day calls to  increase awareness of the inclusion of people with disabilities in all fields.

 

Abu Melha added, that the university was keen to create appropriate conditions for people with disabilities in all respects, through providing necessary  facilities and buildings. She finally  thanked the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Center for People with Special Needs, and its employees for their efforts towards this group.

The celebration also included a speech delivered by the Assistant Supervisor of the Center for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Badriya Saad Abu Hasel, who  praised  the efforts of those who organized the celebration. Abu Hasel, added that this kind of event is an opportunity to renew the commitment towards more work and diligent effort, which will positively affect this group  and provide the appropriate educational environment for them.

 

The celebration included honoring the participating entities and students.
