King Khalid University
His Excellency, Dr. Faleh Bin Raja Allah Al-Solamy, the Rector of King Khalid University, directed the launch of the KKU Radio Test Broadcast. The Media Center supervises and implements the broadcast in cooperation with the General Directorate of Information Technology. The transmission will be via the KKU official portal.
As just a start, it is expected to provide a number of opportunities to interact with university officials, through a program called "The Official Answers." Those who are in charge of KKU Radio assert that the official launch will be at the beginning of the next academic year.
The Radio is a perfect chance for training students of the Media and Communication Department. The students of both male and female programs will prepare, edit, montage, and present all programs.
The KKU test broadcast is just the first phase of many to come. In this phase, the strategic plan is to establish an official radio broadcast that would be transmitted from the University specifically from the Media Center studios. The purpose of creating such broadcast is to provide communication services to the university on a daily basis through the University's website
It is worth mentioning that the first interaction aired on the radio was with the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni. During the interview, Dr. Al-Qarni shed light on the role of the Deanship in serving students. He also clarified the procedures for admission and registration for the academic year 1438/1439 AH, in addition to the transfer and conversion procedures and many other issues that may concern students of the University.

As part of the initiatives of the Deanship of e-learning at King Khalid University, which are concerned with open learning and with keeping up with the aspirations of Vision 2030 to contribute to the provision of opportunities for science and education for everyone and to give the beneficiary the necessary skills to achieve his/her goals, the Deanship launched the KKUx platform. The mission of this platform is to contribute effectively in providing the most relevant skills for future jobs in an electronic form. The content will be provided in high and universal quality that definitely benefits future job seekers or anyone who wants to develop their skills.
This initiative is the first of its kind at the level of the Saudi universities concerning its focus on "skills of the future." All courses will be based on Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on the theme "learn to work." The purpose is to move the economic wheel forward by focusing on the development of core competencies and personal talents.
Al-Solamy: We seek to diversify the experiences of our sons and daughters and provide them with a set of core competencies required for the future.
The initiative was inaugurated and launched by His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy. In a key statement by the Rector, he said, "The skills of creativity, innovation, and leadership are the core skills of the future generation. We aim to diversify the experiences of our sons and daughters and provide them with a broad range of in-demand skills that are required for future jobs."
For his part, the Dean of e-Learning at King Khalid University, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ahmari, said, "King Khalid University is no longer limited to merely spreading the contents of its courses on the internet, but has expanded its reach to help those who wish to learn an opportunity to acquire quality skills and personal talents in order to achieve and build a prosperous and happy future."
