University 13th Book and Information Fair closes its events.

On Thursday, the 6th of Muharram 1436 AH, KIng Khalid University 13th Book and Information Fair closed its events which were held over 11 days, and which witnessed a lot of activities and events. The Dean of Library Affairs of the University, Dr. Saeed Bin Qasim Al-Khalidi explained that the fair had achieved many positives, which were reflected in the heavy attendance of the employees of the university and the members of the community. Moreover, there were visits conducted by a number of schools boys and girls from the cities of Abha and Khamis in order to have a look at what was new in the world of knowledge through the shown books and teaching aids. Dr. Saeed further said, "The fair has allowed a golden opportunity for reading lovers to purchase different books." He also pointed out that for the first time during the days of the fair, a diverse presentation of cultural program including lectures, seminars, literary and poetic evenings, and free training courses were presented lasting for the whole duration of the fair.

It is noteworthy that the fair was considered the largest cultural event of its kind in the Asir region, with 43 publishing houses participating in it, besides 25 governmental and private entities and bodies that are related to book and information business.
